The company Owl Camera, Inc., the founding legal entity of the brand ‘Owlcam’ filed for bankruptcy. By filing for bankruptcy Owl Camera, Inc. closed its doors and was no longer able to operate and provide products or services to its customers. Owl Camera Inc as a company was never sold or purchased.
The Intellectual Property (IP) and the ‘Owlcam’ brand were purchased from the bank by Xirgo Technologies. Xirgo Technologies licensed the ‘Owlcam’ brand to CallPass to ensure that products and services to consumer customers could be re-activated under a new plan and terms. CallPass now powers the ‘Owlcam’ brand, delivering new products and advanced AI-powered by Presto.

Purchases made either directly from Owl Camera, Inc., Best Buy, Amazon, or other retail stores were attached to a 4G LTE data plan that they did not pay the 4G LTE provider. As a result, the 4G LTE provider disabled all non-subscribed plans on May 31st, 2020.
