This owl
took refuge in the nest box to escape a flock of crows. It is seen looking up through the
door as crows swarm around outside. After a few minutes rest, it threatened the crows with
loud beak snapping (65K audio file) and
jumped up to perch in the door. Unable to attack from the sides or rear, the crows soon
gave up and departed. The owl then flew away in peace.
