June roosted in the
nest box today for the first time this year. She is seen here leaping from the floor to
the door of the nest box. She spent about 90% of this cold windy day sunning herself in
the doorway and the rest scratching on the floor or gnawing on the larger pieces of wood
she uncovered. No sign of eggs and none expected for a couple of weeks.
