Wally and
Theodore get bigger and stronger every day. Wally is seen here taking food out of June's
mouth as she turns her head sideways to meet him. Even though his face is tiny and his
eyes are not yet open, his beak is almost as big as his mother's. June will continue to
brood him for at least another week. He and Theodore are always loud and hungry. There has
been no sign of hatching in the third egg and it's beginning to look like there will just
be the two owlets. It has been six days since Theodore hatched and there were only three
days between the laying of the second and third eggs. Ward had a much better night last
night with four food deliveries starting at 10pm. They had some catching up to do so that
there is now only one mouse and part of a squirrel to get them through the day. Ward just
called home with a classic hoot and June rocked the house with her response. (12:15pm)
