Seymour Did It His Way!

When Seymour climbed down to the owl rail this morning, he looked much more confident than the other owlets had and I suspect that he may have been practicing at night. As he flapped his wings and walked along the rail, he faced one distraction that the other owlets had not. He could hear Rufus and Emily wheezing and the sounds were not coming from the the pine tree he was supposed to climb. While he seemed drawn to the same path they had followed, he kept looking out in the direction of their wheezing. When he reached the end of the rail (top picture), he seemed poised to jump in front of the nest box, but finally turned around and made the leap to the roof of  the new camera compartment. As he stood on the roof (bottom picture) he was torn between the tradition of a very difficult climb up the pine tree, and an easy jump to the ground in front of the nest box. He chose the easy jump that lead to a very dangerous journey. Click Seymour's Journey to find out what happened next.
