As the older
owlets get closer to climbing the owlet ladder, Seymour faces new
challenges. When Rufus and Emily position themselves for the next food
delivery as shown here, he is being pushed aside or covered up so that
June does not see him when she looks in. As a result, he missed out on a
snake and mouse this morning and only appears to get food when June enters
the nest to assure that it goes to him. I am especially interested in
seeing what will happen when the older owlets climb up the owlet ladder
and block the door as Wally and Theodore did two years ago. Will June
remember that he is inside and push the older owlets out of the way to get
to him? Since he is now three weeks old, it is also possible that he will
climb the ladder and force his way in next to them. Can all three of them
fit into the doorway? These questions should be answered in the next week. |
