Ward and
June continued to bring in food at a record pace last night with as little
as two minutes between deliveries. June got an early start yesterday with
two deliveries before darkness, and the feeding scenes were the most
ferocious yet. She must be a very brave owl to put herself in the middle
of all that snapping and pushing and I continue to marvel at just how
difficult her job is. Seymour is now mixing it up very well with the older
owlets and does not appear to need a lot of special help. This picture was
taken at the end of the feeding session because things were moving so fast
earlier that it was just a blur. I heard both Ward and June hooting on
several occasions last night and June has visited once this morning. She
perched on the rail and looked in on the owlets, but flew away after a
couple of minutes without entering. |
