 Even though
Ward made three food deliveries last night, June was down to a few mouse parts by dawn and
has been whining all day. She is seen here with Rufus just after the food
ran out at noon today. Rufus and Emily are confined under one wing while
Seymour is protected under the other. Seymour is too small to compete with the older owlets and
needs special attention to survive. His
peeping is growing stronger and he appears to be getting enough food for
now. While owlets can get along with occasional food shortages, Ward
will have to step up his efforts to satisfy this big hungry family. |
